Drucilla Ramsay Eardley, 92. a resi-
dent of Pacific Grove for 55 years, died
April 20, 2000, at Hospice House in
Monterey.
Mrs. Eardley was a secretary for I
the Zellerback Paper Company for 25
years.
Anne Scott Cary
Anne Scott Cary. 85. who was born
in Kilrush, Ireland, and a resident of Pa-
cific Grove since 1986 died at the Can-
terbury Woods on April 30,2000.
Lilian A.Bischof
Lillian Bischof died on May 8 at the
age of 65. Beverly made Pacific
Grove her home for 40 years. She
served in the Woman's Anny Corps
and for the ten years served as a
caregiver.

ers
Pacific Grove Senior Citizens Club,
which always manages to present an in-
teresting and usually significant program,
will observe Memorial Day on Sunday,
May 21, beginning at 2:15 p.m. Ed Larson
will be featured in the afternoon program
with Bits and Pieces by members, also a
Roll Call of Mothers. Lee will be at the
piano and members are reminded it is
the usual potluck.

In a moving presentation to the family
of Pacific Grove Senior Recreation Di-
rector, David Kuwatani, who was felled
by a fatal heart attack last month. Mayor
Sandy Koffman declared May 16th as
"Dave Kuwatani Day in the City of Pa-
cific Grove."
Councilmembers Christie Martine and
Robert Huitt were tearfulin their descrip-
tion of Kuwatani, not only as a respected
City employee, but also as a "friend.'t
Kuwatani was raised in Pacific Grove,
attending both Robert Down Elementary
and Pacific Grnve High School.

department as a maintenance worker and
moved up to a Recreation Coordinator
II, which was his title at the time of his
death. He had worked for the City for
33 years. '
Kuwatani was in charge of the Rec-
reation Department's Adult Recreation
Programs and, in fact, suffered his fatal
heart attack on a city ball field.
"Dave Kuwatani will never be forgot-
ten by the City of Pacific Grove," Mayor
Koffman told those in attendance.
