Lillian M. “Lila" Cottone, a
Shelton resident for the past
three years, died of pneumonia
Wednesday, July 21, at Fir Lane
Health and Rehabilitation Cen-
ter. She Was 85,
She was born June 4, 1914 in
Brooklyn, New York, to Henry
and Sophia Javaowski who
migrated to America from Poland.
She married Frank Cottone in
1939 in New York. He preceded
her in death in 1975.
She worked as a clerk.
She loved to clean house. She
loved her children and was a
great mother, her family said,
Mrs, Cottone is survived by her
sons, Frank Cottone of Shelton,
Paul Cottone of Miami, Florida,
and Steve Cottone of Jackson-
ville, Florida; daughters Francis
Childs of Lawrenceville, Georgia,
and Penny Edmondson of Lake
Placid, Florida; and several
grandchildren.
At the family’s request, there
will be no services.
Arrangements are by Forest
Funeral Home in Shelton.
