Gregory Mallinger
Gregory Lee Mallinger died of
brain cancer in the presence of
friends and family at his home in
Juneau, Alaska, on August 27. He
was 39‘
He was born on November 21,
1956. In 1975 he moved to Ju»
neau, where he established his
company, Mallinger Masonry, Af-
ter he married Lora in Washing-
ton on June 4, 1977 the couple re—
turned to Alaska
Mr. Mallinger enjoyed his
work, He built the 15th station of
the cross at the Shrine of Saint
Therese and he set the corner
stone at the shine on Memorial
Day of 1989. He worked with the
late Homer Beedle in planning
and building the base for a statue
of Mother Mary in Saint Paul’s
Catholic Church in Juneau.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing
and spending time with his fami-
lyr
Survivors include his wife,
Lora; his children, Jacob, Jenna
and Gregory Bud Michael of Ju-
neau; his parents, John D. and
Betty Ann Mallinger of Shelton;
his grandmothers, Connie Frank-
lin of Shelton and Martha Mal-
linger of Shelton; his brother and
sisterdn—law, John V. and Sharon
Mallinger of Juneau; his brother,
Matthew Mallinger of Juneau; his
sisters and brothers-in-law, Melo-
dy Ann and Eugene Earl Calvin
I] of Sumner, Therese and Mark
Berry of Kenton and Ella and
Sam Stacy of Gig Harbor; and
many aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces and nephews.
Services were held Alaska, The
pallbearers were John V. Malling-
er, Matthew Mallinger, Dan Buz-
by, Mike Anderson, Guy Hays,
Jim Healey and Thomas Fitterer.
