Right: Angelo Loera, 170 pounds, took sixth place at state this year. Junior Malachi Lawrence won the 4A 170 pound wres- tling state championship at the 2017 Mat Classic held Febru- ary 17-18. Lawrence ranked number two at 170 lbs. by Washing- ton Wrestling Report, won by fall in his two matches on day one. Marsh, a senior at the high school, had her doodle, “Our Friends, The Bees,” selected out of hundreds of entries received from Washington students. Her doodle depicts her vision of the bee population increas- ing back to a healthy number in the near future. The character in Marsh’s artwork is Dingo, an animal friend she has created, not just for this piece but others as well. “I’m very private about Din- go,” she said, which makes her sharing with the world even more amazing. “My ambition s write a children’s book about him.” If you look closely at Marsh’s creation you can see Dingo, flowers in hand, encouraging the bees to fly, which is in the shape of the letter G and the Marsh named Google’s state champ in doodle competition , OCR Text: Change CLOCKS It’s time to Spring forward.
