PHYLLIS J. ‘FIXEMEH 76, died
at her home in Tahuya, on June 6,
1995. She was born in Hccdsport,
Washington, on November 9, 1918 to
Harvey L. Rendsland and Alma S. Dick-
inson Hendsland. She attended grade
school in Tahuya and graduated from
Bremenon ngh School in 1936. She
married Eddie Metzler in 1936 and Don-
ald P. Fixemer August 27, 1957. She
lived most oi her tile in the state of
Washington, the last 38 years in
Tahuya where she grew up as a child.
She had several occupations over'her
Iiletime, her last being Postmaster of
the Tahuya Post Office tor 17 years
until she retired in 1985. She was a
member of the National League 01 Post
Masters. past commissioner of the
MCFPD #8, former member of the
Tahuya Community Club and Tahuya
School Board. Her hobbies were enjoy-
ing her grandchildren. reading. needle-
work, gardening and love for animals,
especially her dog, Amy. Preceded in
death by her husband. Donald P. Fix-
emer, in 1983 and an infant daughter,
Dorie Jean Metzler, in 1946, Phyllis is
survived by her daughters Sally Fisher
and her husband, Dave, and Kay Allard
and her husband, Russ; her son
Michael R. Fixemer and his wife,
Catherine; and grandchildren David and
Sallie Fisher, Sarah and Pete Allard and
Ian Fixemer. There will be no funeral
services at her request. The lamily
suggests memorials be made to
MCFPD #8 ol Tahuya in lieu of flowers.
