At China Lake
Vote registrars will be on duty at
China Lake beginning Monday, Aug.
30, and continuing through Thurs-
day, Sept. 9, to Sign up citizens eligi-
ble to vote in the coming general
election scheduled Nov. 2.
To be eligible to vote in the State
of California, a person must have
been a. resident of the state for one
year; lived in the COunty of Kern
for 90 days, and in the local pre-
cinct for 54 days prior to the elec-
tion.
All persons who have changed
their places of residence since the
last election are required to register
again, in addition to newcomers who
meet the above qualifications.
Registrars will be on duty at the
follOwing places and times for the
next two weeks:
Lobby of Michelson uboratory-
Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 30 and
31, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Commlssary Sto re - Monday
through Friday, Aug. 30-Sept. 3, and
TUesday through Thursday, Sept.
7-9. 9:30 to 11 :30 a.m., and 2 to 6
p.m.
Public Works Compound - Wed-
nesday and Thursday, Sept. 1 and 2,
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
China Lake pilot plant ealeteria-
WedneSday and Thursday, Sept. 8
and 9, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Voters also may reigster at the
homes of the local deputy registrars.
