RE: 392 Spruce Street
Message:
Hi Gretchen,
Here is the info on 392 Spruce Street. It looks to me like it was built in 1905 for M. R. Stansbury, who
was the Postmaster at the time. The house on the 1905 map is somewhat different from the 1914 map, but
similar enough that it looks like a remodel to me, probably done in late 1909 or early 1910 because the
assessment jumped from $300 to $360 in 1910. The differences between the 1914 and 1926 maps were
probably done in late 1924 or early 1925, as the assessmentjumped again in 1925.
Do you have any documentation that is contrary to the above?
Thanks,
Adam
