Evans Elliott Mauls Lake ~Roesiger Richard O. Roesiger's diaries and account ledgers from 1888 through 1926 and 1928 were located in 2000 in a storage locker by the parents of a friend of Dick's grandson. The diaries and ledgers were given to Mrs. Henry Sorgerfirei who in turn, passed them on to one of Dick's greatnieces, Monika Teuscher of Switzerland. Monika, in turn, will deposit the diaries withthe Everett Public Library Northwest History Room. Archival copies of the three narrative diaries were given to‘the library by Sorgenfrei and 'I’uescher. David Dilgard, History Specialist, Everett Public Library Northwest Roam, presented excerpts from Dick Roesiger's 1888 through 1893 diaries at the Lake Roe— siger Community and Boat Club's Sept. 2002 meeting. Mr. Dilgard will present excerpts from Dick's 1894 through 1897 diaries on Friday, Sept. 19, 2003 at the Community Club's meeting. Dick Roesiger's diaries tell a grand tale of an early lake settler given to hard work, strong ideals and a desire to prosper in uncertain economic, social and political times.
