Carl Ramsbottom
Carl “Tuck” Ramsbottom, a
longtime Shelton resident, died of
Cancer at Saint Peter Hospital in
Olympia on Wednesday, Novem-
ber 12. He was 58.
He was born November 5,
1939, in Gallatin, Missouri, to
James and Ruby Ramsbottom. He
graduated from Gallatin High
School in 1957.
Mr Ramsbottom moved to
Washington State in February
1969 to work for Boeing He start-
ed working for Simpson Timber
Company in 1971 and worked
there until January 1997, when
illness forced him to retire.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing
throughout his life and spent
much of his time in the company
of his best friends, Bob and Ellie
Carstins of Shelton.
He married Sheila Clark of
Gallatin on June 22, 1972, and
settled in the Skokomish Valley
‘to raise their family.
He is survived by his wife,
Sheila Ramsbottom of Shelton;
son Jason Ramsbottom of Lorton,
Virginia; daughters Jackie Lester
of Shelton and Suni Cunningham
of Fort Polk, Louisiana; and seven
grandchildren:
Other survivors include his
mother, Ruby Ramsbottom of
Gallatin; sisters Norma Sheridan
of Snohomish and Helen Ruth
Diem of Springfield, Missouri.
His father, James Ramsbot-
torn, and brothers, James Rams-
bottom Jrr and Thomas McKim,
preceded him in death
A memorial service was held
on Saturday, November 15, at the
Skokomish Community Church.
A gathering of Mri Ramsbottom’s
friends and family was held at
the family’s Skokomish Valley
home after the service.
