Frank Corder (88 yrs.old lived here al his life) says Cronan had the big house, bay side of
hill…you can still see part of the landing. The wife had a big cedar headstone. The
Shipwreck was ½ way between there and the “White house”, which was supposed to
have been somewhere down on the spit, built after it was all sectionalized. There was also
a ball diamond down there. The river mouth was further south. In the early 50s the entire
beach was rocks. During a big storm a huge tree with roots came in. It was 14’ high
minimum. It has since been buried.
Craig brought a pretty porcelain arrow head and his small wax block. More supposed to
be at Nehalem Falls also some found at Spruce Run Campground on Lower Nehalem
Road.
Ty spent some time getting his GPS and Mag to talk to his laptop. At 1600 they were
getting ready to depart camp with the boat.
“Oregon Field Guide guys came by. Mike will be joining the dive team.
