RE: Address: 190 Pine Ave. Subdivision: 4th Addition to Retreat

Our maps and tax records show that the above structure was first assessed in: ??? This means the
structure was actually built early in that year, or late in the previous year.
The first owner ofthis structure, according to the County's assessor's records was: ???
Other Comments: Our records only cover the period from 1874 through 1926. As you can see from the
attached 1926 map, no house existed in 1926. The entire block was owned by J.C. Anthony, a house
builder. I suspect the house was built in 1927. In 1930, J.J. Harris was the owner and he did an extensive
remodel. Please see the attached newspaper clipping. The actual building permit for the remodel dated
3/3/30 referred to the remodel as an "alteration to 2-family dwelling". The hardwood floors were added at
that time. In 1935, the owner at that time, David Goddard, added the rear porch.
