He was born in Matlock on Janu- ary 19, 1906 to Fred J. and Mary (O’Shaughnessy) Ferris. He had been a lifetime resident of Mason County. He was married to Viola A. ‘ Hulbert in Montesano on January 2, 1926. He worked in Shelton as a logger for the Simpson Timber Company, retiring in 1971. Mr. Ferris was a member of the Shelton United Methodist Church, was past master of the Mount Mor- iah Lodge 11 F&AM, a past worthy master of the Eastern Star, a past royal patron of the Amaranth and a Dad Advisor of Demolayr Survivors include his wife, Viola A. Ferris of Shelton; his daughter, Norene Stevens ofShelton;his son, Ron Ht Ferris of Sh elton; his sister, Edna Rentzschke of Spokane; four grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, one great-great- grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. The Reverend Steve Schroeder and Dr. Ludvig Eskildsen of‘fi- ciated at memorial services held February 8 at the Shelton United Methodist Church.
