P.-T. A. Presents
Christmas Program
Members and friends of the Pa-
cific Grove Parent Teacher associ-
ation gathered in the grammar
school auditorium Thursday after-
noon for the annual P.-T. A.
Christmas program and tea.
Eighty members of the high
school girls glee club, making an
attractive picture in navy skirts
and ties and white blouses, were
present to sing favorite Christmas

rection of Mrs. Bess Ward. At the
conclusion of their part of the pro-
gram they were entertained at tea

valuable aids to gaining unselfish-
ness which is of prime importince
in spiritual development.
The unit voted $10 to the cham-
ber of commerce to be used in the
purchase of candy for the children'S
Christmas party. This was done in
appreciation of the chamber's sup-
port of the P.-T. A. in the recent
Butterfly ifctival. A report by
committees frorn the festival
showed the unit had cleared $110
from its activities. This sum will
go into the general fund for wel-
fare work.
It was announced that there will
be a P.-T. A. telephone bridge par-
ty from January 8 to 22 with Mrs.
D. C. Baxter as general chairman.
Games will be played as in the re-
cent tournament with high scores
to be phoned to Mrs. Baxter who
will also answer questions concern-
ng the event.

noon were Mrs. Sheldon Gilmer
