Eric J. Woodard
Eric J. Woodard, a Union resi-
dent, died July 5 at Deep Lake in
Eastern Washington. He was 20.
He was born May 18, 1978, at
San Bernardino, California, to
Gary and Shirlene Woodard.
He achieved many accomplish-
ments for someone so young, his
family said. He started receiving
awards in preschool and con-
tinued throughout his formal edu-
cation, graduating from Shelton
High’School with honors in 1996.
Mr. Woodard participated in
football, baseball and wrestling.
Besides being interested in elec-
tronics and video games, he had a
great love for music and playing
the guitar.
His hobbies included every—
thing from parasailing to snow-
boarding. He loved dirt bikes, fast
cars and all water sports. In addi-
tion to the above, be managed to
hold a fullrtimejob at Paul's Elec-
tric in Shelton, go to school and
take care of his family.
He is survived by his parents,
Gary and Shirlene Woodard of
Union; sister Jessica Lynn Wood-
ard of Union; son Trenton S.
Woodard and stepson Jacob D.
Avila of Hoodsport; partner Dan»

ents Lavena Howard of Fields
Landing, California, and Joyce

A celebration of life memorial
service will be held at noon Saturr
day, July 18, at Hope Chapel, 421
West E Street in Shelton. A re-
ception will follow at the Union
Fire Hall in Union.
