Irauanar Ira Brooks Dana of Shelton died on April 17 at Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 95. He was born in Boone, Iowa, on February 2, 1899. He grew up in Olympia and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was married to the former Genevieve Bell McAulifi'e. He was the chief engineer of a merchant ship for 50 years. Aflerhe was widowed, he moved to Shelton, where he lived with his sister, Ruth Wallin, for 23 years. Survivors include his daughters, Irabelle Dana Calvo of North Poto- mac, Maryland, and Carol Dana of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his grand- daughters, Dana Martise of Mar- ietta, Georgia, and Brooks Dana Calvo of North Potomac; his grand- son, Antony Dana Calvo of North Potomac; his son-in»law, José A. Calvo of North Potomac; his sister, ~Rutl-rEanaWal-lirrvfsh , , his grandson-in-law, Karl Petrino- vich of Marietta.
