Nell Dahlman J‘flw - l??? — Nell F. Dahlman Nell F. Dahlman of Shelton died July 1 at Fir Lane Terrace Conva- lescent Center She was 100 years old. Mrs. Dahlman was born Sep- tember 19, 1888 in Nebraska She married Cody (Joe) Woolard and the two came to Seattle when she was 21, making a home in North Seattle In 1948, the couple pur- chased 80 acres in Matlock. Short- ly afterward, Mr, Woolard died and his widow moved to Shelton, In 1953, she married Charles Dahlman. She cared for a number of local children whose parents worked, becoming “Aunt Nell” to a number of local people. She moved to Fir Tree Park a few years after she was widowed a second time in 1969, and maintained her own home there until well after her 100th birthday‘ She was a long-time member of Ruby Rebekah Lodge and had belonged to Shelton Christian Church since it was founded in 1954: Surviving Mrs, Dalilman are a daughter, Laura Menefee of Arlington; a stepdaughter, Ardith F‘robel of Lambertville, Michigan; one granddaughter; and four step- grandchildren.
