Josephine Gaffney
Josephine Pearl Gaffney, 88, of
Tigard, Oregon, died at her
residence December 19. She had
been a Shelton resident for a
number of years.
Born April 21, 1898 in Everett,
Mrs. Gaffney worked for the West
Coast Telephone Company in
Reedsport, Oregon, in the 19205.
She later worked tor the Pacific
Northwest Bell as a customer ser.
vice representative in Shelton for
many years prior to retiring in 1962.
She moved from here to Tigard in
19644
Mrs. Gaffney was a member of
the parish of Saint Edward’s Roman
Catholic Church in Shelton and be-
longed to the Professional Women’s
Club here. She was a member of
Saint Anthony's Church parish in
Tigard and the Telephone Pioneers
Association.
Surviving Mrs. Gaffney is a
daughter, Marion E. Gaffney of
Tigard.
Funeral services were held Tues.
day morning, December 23 at Saint
Anthony’s Catholic Church in
Tigard, A committal service fol-
lowed on Tuesday afternoon at
Shelton Memorial Park. Ar-
rangements were under the direc-
tion of Young's Funeral Home in
Tigard.
