grethe (Iflasell) “Peg" Dosskey
died of cancer Friday, March 17,
in Portland, Oregon. She was 77.
She was born November 15,
1922 in Shelton. She was a mem-
ber of the Irene 5, Reed High
School Class of 1940, which has
been meeting annually on Hood
Canal and will hold its 60th reun-
ion this yeari
She married C.W. “Chuck”
Dosskey in 1948. He preceded her
in death in 1989. Previously, she
was married to A.W. “Sandy”
Mackie in 1944. He preceded her
in death in 1945.
She lived in the Portland area
in Lake Grove since 1955. She
was a teacher at River Grove Ele-
mentary School and retired in
1986.
Mrs. Dosskey was a member of
Saint James Episcopal Church in
Tigard, Oregon. She was an ac-
tive member of PEO, a philan—
thropic and educational organiza-
tion, and the Kappa Alpha Theta
sorority at the University of
Washington.
She is survived by her sons,
A.W. “Sandy” Mackie Jr. of Olym—
pia, Bruce Dosskey of Mountain
View, California, and Michael
Dosskey of Lincoln, Nebraska;
daughter Anne Dosskey of Port-
land, Oregon; and six grandchil-
dren.
, A, memorial service will be held
’at 2 pm, Sunday, April 16, at,
Saint James Episcopal Church in
Tigard, Oregon.
Memorial donations may be
made to the Hopewell House Hos-
pice in Portland, Oregon, or the
Ovarian Cancer Research Fund
in New York, New York.
