Our maps and tax records show that the above structure was first assessed in: 1906 This means the
structure was actually built early in that year, or late in the previous year.
The first owner of this structure, according to the County's assessor's records was: William Over
Other Comments: William Oyer was the foreman for the Bay City Market. He built your house and the
two adjoining to be used as rental properties. He did not live in any of them. The owner starting in 1925,
Susan Marshall, also did not live there. She lived at 218 17th Street and used these three cottages as
rental units.
