June Darling, a resident of
Shelton for 27 years, died of leu-
kemia Monday, May 31, at her
home in Shelton. She was 78.
She was born July 19, 1920, in
Urbano County, New York, to
Jack and Carrie Farr.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Richard Darling,
stepson, Keith Darling, and
brother Robert Farr.
Mrs. Darling and her husband
owned rental houses in Shelton.
She loved to watch baseball
games.
She is survived by daughter
Carol Jordan and her husband
Dan of Shelton; sister Ellen Hick-
am of Shelton; grandchildren
Roxy Miklethun, Jesse Cun-
ningham and Raney Nutt, all of
Shelton; five greategrandchildren,
three great-great grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 am.
to 1 pm. Friday, June 4, at Hope
Chapel, 421 West E Street, Shel-
ton. A memorial service will be
held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 4, at
Hope Chapel.
There will be a reception and
luncheon at Bethel Assembly of
God Church in Shelton following
the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial do-
nations may be sent to the Amerir
can Cancer Society, 2120 First
Avenue North, Seattle, 98109.
