1/4/57 D.A.R.E. to kick off Monday at Mt. DtA,R.Et (Drug Abuse Resistance Educa- tion) program will kick off at Mt. Pilchuck Elementary Monday, November 6 at 7 pm at the next Booster Club meeting. Learning to say no and gaining confidence in that decision is the basis for the new anit- drug program D.A.RlE. ltisbased on ahighly successful program in Los Angeles, was implemented by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office in the Marysville and Lakewood School Districts and has since expanded to other schools. The program provides a 17-wa1k lesson plan to be offered mainly to fifth and sixth graders, Deputy Bryce Siegel has been spe— cially trained to provide theeducational skills and interaction with the preteens partici— pating in the program.
