Dear Jane,
Thank you for writing and sending the copy of the entries from the diary of Merle Francis. It is
an interesting glimpse into the daily life of an early Pacific Grove single woman. I was
especially saddened by her entries on the Warren family, especially the death of Mrs. Warren.
These notes are a welcome addition to our archives.
I will forward your offer to write something occasionally for the Board & Batten to the Board.
