July 24, at home in Shelton.
She was 89 years old and
had lived
in Shel-
ton for 83
years.

married Marshall Jackson
on June 3. 1938 in Shelton.
She lived in Belfair be-
fore moving to Shelton,
where she attended school.
Later, she worked at the
Shelton roller skating rink
in the 1960s She became a
teacher’s aide for the Shel-
ton School District, where
she worked for over 20
years. Throughout her life,
she was a childcare and re«
spite provider.
Mrs. Jackson was the old-
est member of the Mt. View
Alliance Church, where she
worshiped for over 75 years.
She was deeply involved in
many church functions and
eventually came to wor-
ship at the Rivers of Grace
church as well. Her hobbies
included sewing, reading,
word-find puzzles and cook-
ing, She truly loved flow-
ers, her pets and children
‘ those related to her and
those that she cared for over
the years.
She is survived by son
Marshall “Buster” Jackson
Jr. of Longview; daughters
Linda Stevens of Shelton
and Janet N011 and husband
Elmer of Yakima; grandchil-
dren Cindee Quist, Michelle
Sundholm, Rene Mace, Lau-
rie Davis, April Valdez, Pat-
rick Jackson, Michael Jack—
son, David Noll and Anita
Noll; eight great-grandchil-
dren; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by husband Marshall
in 1982, brother Billy West
and fister Dorothy Sanders.
The family will hold a
private family gathering at
a later date.
