RE: Address: 515 108 Street Subdivision: 3rd Addition to Retreat
Block: 133 Lot: 15
Our maps and tax records show that the above structure was first assessed in: 1911 This means the
structure was actually built early in that year, or late in the previous year.
The first owner of this structure, according to the County's assessor's records was: Mrs. C. Saal
Other Comments: Charlotte Saal first showed up in Pacific Grove in 1895/96 and owned the house at
510 10th. She later had a few other homes built. I cannot determine which one she actually lived in... if
any. She is not even listed in the 1907 or 1926 City Directories. Although she owned 515 108, the 1926
directory lists Mrs. Eliza Stone as actually living there. I suspect Charlotte actually lived and worked in
another city and her homes here were vacation/income properties. Our records only cover Pacific Grove
from 1874 thru 1926. The Community Development Department may have info on your home from 1928
until the present time.
Plague Status: 0 Structure is eligible for a plague and one will be made up for you at no charge.
You will be notified when plague is ready. It could take 4 to 6 months.
El Structure is eligible for plague, but it must be requested by the owner.
® Structure is not eligible for a plague at this time because:
Plague previously awarded in 1991.
Enclosed please find: Tax assessor info thru 1926.

First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the
people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Newspapers produce and deliver news and information which they feel is important -- most often
from public information such as arrest reports, traffic infractions, accidents, indictments,
lawsuits, jury verdicts, property records, legal notices, and many other sources of information
which is freely available to anyone at any time. Newspaper publishers do not have access to any

of public matters which, in addition to information found in the public registers, may include
statements you make to a reporter or official, your photograph, background and other information
provided by you or others, rebuttals, opinions, and other information such as court-ordered
legal notices, and historical and statistical data.
