fully on Monday, August 3.
She was

California, where she ate
tended high school and was
a cheerleader and active in
journalism. That is when
her love of writing poetry
and becoming a lifelong
journalist began.
On February 14, 1936
she married “Bill”
Cady Jr. They moved to Bel-
fair where they raised three
sons: Don, Jim and Alan.
Mrsi Cady was a founding
member of the Belfair Com-
munity Baptist Church, the
Evergreen Garden Club and
the North Mason Chamber
of Commerce. When she
wasn’t involved in her sons’
or community activities, she
worked for Cady Real Es-
tate and Insurance.
One of her proudest mem—
ories was her service to the
country as an aircraft spot-
ter in a civil defense tower
during World War II and
the Korean War‘ She was
also recognized for her 50-
year continuous voting re-
cord in Mason County, She
was well known for her art.
work, her contributions to
the Evergreen Garden Club
and her dedicated Christian
life
She was preceded in
death by her husband Bill
Cady in November of 1995,
son Jim in January of 2004
and brother Wallace Gibson.
She is survived by sons
Don and wife Paulette of
Belfair and Alan and wife
Carla of Seabeck; daughter-
in-law Mary Jo of Shelton;
seven grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; sis-
ter-in-law Evelyn Gibson of
La Quinta, California, and
her special dog Ladyl
