Longtime Shelton resident Charles Anthony Wagner died December at Harborview Medi— cal Center in Seattle. He was 88 and had lived in Mason County 50 years. He was born March 5, 1915 in Elma to Andrew and‘Mary Wag~ ner. He was a twin in a family of eight children and attended school at Garden City and Elma High School. . . He worked for i: Simpson Timber u. Company in Charles A. Shelton for more Wagner than 30 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and visiting with friends and family. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and visits with his “meals on wheels" friends, his neighbors Bill Cole and Thelma Banner, and his granddaughter Tricia He felt very' fortunate tog be able to live on his own at age) 88, his family said. ‘3 Mr.‘Wagner was preceded in): death by his wives, Mary T. (Jhanson) Wagner and Remola M. (McCauley) Wagner; brother Da- vid Wagner; sisters Francis, Es~ telle, Mildred, Esther, Dorothy and Clara; and son, Charles Allan ,Wagneri Surviving are his sons, Louis Brinkley of Elma and Dennis Wagner ofAshland City, Tennes- see; daughters Beverly Cochran of Allyn, lone Siegler of Olympia, Joan Smith of Plains, Montana, and Bonnie Hall of Shelton; 23 grandchildren, and numerous greatgrandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held De- cember 15 at Mills & Mills Funer— al Home in Tumwater.
