Austin mason Austin Wayne Eason of Holly- wood, California, died on March 12 at Queen of Angeles Medical Cen- ter after a fouryeer battle with AIDS, or acquired immune defi- ciency syndrome. He was 31. He was born in Roseburg, Ore- gon, on August 28, 1962 to Odus Wayne and Viola Eason. He lived in Shelton from 1975 to 1980, when he graduated from Shelton High School Mr. Eason graduated from the Los Angeles School of Fashion and Design in 1982 and became a de- signer, illustrator and artist. A memorial showing of his art was being arranged in Los Angeles by his friends and family. He enjoyed travel, music and classic films. Towards the end of his life he enjoyed the company of Pyewacket, a cat who was given to him by PAWS, the Progressive Animal Welfare Society. Survivors include his parents, Odus Wayne and Viola Eason of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sisters, Patricia Corrigan of Crescent City, California, and Vivian Eason of Olympia; his brother-in-law, Lance Corrigan of‘Crescent City; four nieces, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Jerrell Walls and Roger Wood- ard officiated at services held March 14 at Christ Chapel of the Valley in Hollywood.
