Dear Jamaica,
Our records normally cover the time period from 1875 through
1926.
Attached is the tax assessor information showing the
owners from the time the house was built through 1926.
The house was built in 1923, or late 1922, for S. L. Fritz, a
Realtor in Pacific Grove who owned many small rentals in
town.
I suspect he had it built as a rental, but Cooper
wanted to buy it instead of rent, so he sold it. We have no
info on Iva Cooper. Many of the early home owners in Pacific
Grove were not full-time residents and their cottages were
vacation and summer homes.
Unfortunately, we have no early photos of the house. I have
attached a page from the 1926 Sanborn map which shows your
house.
I'm sorry that I do not have more information for you, but I
hope the attached is of interest to you.
