Gene S. Gelst Gene Stephen Geilt died of cancer on December 11 athishome in Shelton. He was 49. Mru Geist was born on March 10, 1542 to Leander and Geneva (Moran) Geiat ufshelton. He waa a 1960 graduate of Shelton High School. He was employed by the Land Title Company for 20 years as manager in Port Angeles and manager and president in Bremen ton. He was an ofl‘lcerin the North- west Escrow Association andpresi dent ofthe Wuhingmn Land Title Aleociafion from 1987 to 19884 Mr. Gaist was a member of the Bremerton Rotary Club and a charter member of the Shelton Elks Lodge He was an avid fisher- man and apart-time oyster farmer at home‘ Survivors include hi: wife, Ger- ry Lou Geiat of Shelton; his daughter, Gretchen Alhright of Auburn; his son, Gregory Geiat of Pullman; m. three brothers, James Geiet of Shelton, Robert Geiat or Olympia and Lee Geist or Shelton; his sister, Kay Gunter of Shelton; and three grandchildren. The Reverend Greg Scandrett officiated at funeral service: held December 14 at the Shelton First Baptist Church. Burial was in Shelton Memorial Park.
