Meghann Hall died Monday,
January 31, aboard Alaska Air—
lines Flight 261, which crashed
off the coast of Southern Califor-
nia near Los Angeles. She was 19
and a resident ofEnumclawi
She was born November 21,
1980 in Renton to Mark and Mary
Hall. She graduated from Enum~
claw High School, where she was
an ace pitcher on the school’s soft—
ball team‘ She was one of the best
pitchers in the state and won an
athletic scholarship to Highline
Community College.
Her father helped coach her
summer softball team, which
placed third in national competi-
tion in 1996. Rachel Janosik, who
also died in the crash, was her
best friend and played on the
team, too.
She was attending Highline
and working at Bed, Bath
Beyond at the Auburn Superman
at the time of her death.
Miss Hall was returning with
her fiance, Ryan Sparks, and
Rachel J anosik from a vacation in
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, when
the plane crashed into the Pacific
Ocean, killing all 88 people on
board. '
She was preceded in death by
'her brother, Kelly Hall, who was
killed four years ago in a motorcy~
cle accident at age 174
She is survived by her parents,
Mark and Mary Hall of Enum-
claw; grandfather Alan Hall and
his wife Irene of Shelton; grand
mother Jean Hall of Buckley; and
numerous aunts, uncles and cou-
sins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial do-
nations may be made to the
Enumclaw Youth Sports Associa-
tion, in care of Loran Zenonian,
