Kenneth Ladd, a Shelton resi-
dent for 33 years, died of lung
cancer Sunday, November 1, at
Fir Lane Health and Rehabilita-
tion Center in Shelton. He was
81.
He was born August 30, 1917,
in Montezuma, Indiana, to Furl
F. and Mayme (Liffick) Ladd.
He served in the Army from
1937 to 1965, serving in the
South Pacific during World War
II and in the Korean War.
He married Tsugiko Suzuki on
November 18, 1950, in Tokyo, JaA
pan,
Mr. Ladd worked at the Wash-
ington Corrections Center near
Shelton from 1965 until he re-
tired.
He was a lifetime member of
the Disabled American Veterans.
He enjoyed gardening
He is survived by wife Tsug'iko
Ladd of Shelton; adopted son
James Joplin of Shelton; brother
Virgil Ladd of Schereville, Indi-
ana; and sister Pearl L. Ladd of
Terre Haute, Indiana.
At Mr. Ladd’s request, there
will be no services.
