Hazzie B. Eagle Jr.
Former Shelton resident Haz-
zie B. Eagle Jr. died ofa heart at—
tack Friday, November 12, in Las
Vegas, Nevada. He was 75 and
had been a Las Vegas resident
the past five years.
He was born on August 27,
1924 in Rock Springs, Wyoming,
to Hazzie B. Eagle Sr. and Susie
M. Eagle. He was raised in Shel-
ton and graduated from Irene S.
Reed High School in Shelton in
1943.
Mr. Eagle served in the Army
in the Pacific theater during
World War II. He received several
medals, including a Silver Star,
Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart
and others.
After the war, he lived in Taco-
ma, Morocco and Bremerton as
well as Las Vegas. He worked as
a supply center supervisor for the
federal government. He was a
member of the Masonic Lodge in
Tacoma and the Bremerton Yacht
Club.
He is survived by his wife, Si-
mone Eagle of Las Vegas; sons
Paul Eagle and John Eagle, both
of Las Vegas; brothers Don Eagle
of Santa Rosa, California, Wentz
Eagle of Shelton and Gerald
Eagle of Bremerton; sisters Bon-
nie Tibbits and Anita Nault, both
of Shelton; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Burial was at Southern Neva-
da Veterans Memorial Cemetery
in Boulder City, Nevada.
