Forest June 25-26—27 Attended Guard School at Bacon Creek Camp-Skagit District June 29 Dug post holes painted signs June 30 Rolled up 550’ of hose, Checked Fire Cache July 1 Put up signs preparatory to 4th. Posted trails. Raked yard of RS. July 2 Logged Pilchuck Trail. Erected 1/2 mile of phone line and mended 3 breaks in line, posted 5 signs. Checked phone line. Walked 16 miles. July 3 Posted 4 “closed water” signs. Cleaned tools,bound and oiled fire caches. One ten man and one( 1) five man outfit complete hauled them to CCC camp. July 4 Patrolled camp ground. July 6 Took down Fireworks signs, painted fire cache boxes,also hose boxes. July 7 Worked in office, because personell & ranger absent on work. July 8 Finished painting boxes. Answered phone July 9 Packed grocerys & came to Silverton. July 10 Went up to Blackjack L.O., checked phone line & made inventory. July 11 Felled foot log. July 12 Worked on Deer Creek trail & went to Lake Kelcema. July 13 Brushed Blackjack Trail. July 14 Rebuilt puncheon bridge on Deer Creek Trail. Walked to and from work- 10 miles. July 15 Got tools from Ashe, Made connections in phone line into L0. house. Installed vacuum tube. July 16 Packed things to go to L0. Took one load to L0. G.Ashe had taken stove intended for L0. so fellows had to take stove in RS.
