Sprucing up the grounds
was just a small piece of what
over 70 workers from Phillips
Healthcare in Bothell did on
Friday, July 15 at Sherwood
Community Services in Lake
Stevens.
Sherwood, who provides
services to 568 children and
adults with disabilities in Sno-
homish County, has had the
help of Phillips employees on
their Day of Caring.
This is the sixth year that
Phillips has helped out at Sher-
wood.
Tom Laffoon, who headed
up the teams from Phillips said
that their employees look for-
ward to this day every year.
“We do it because it makes
us feel good,” he said.

from Lake Stevens, explained
that when new employees start
at the company they are told
of the volunteer day and how
much fun they have.
“I feel lucky to work for com-
pany who makes it a priority to
help others,” Haugh said. “It
really helps boost moral when
we’re all working together for a
good cause.”

day. Many of them also deep
