This house is c modified shinglo style. This style appears to have
inspired c number of earlier pacific Grove homes, but this house
bears little resemblance to Voctorion predecessors. Its design is
very straightforward; therois no extraneous surface detail work.
Though the Shingle Style first appeared c 1880.such simplified
styling wasnot widely accopted in Pacific Grove' s architecture until
a much later date.
