Michael Douglas Breh-
meyer, 60, died September
26, 2010 at home in Matlock,
Wash., Where he lived all of
his life.
He was born at the Col-
lier Clinic on July 10, 1950 to
Herbert and Dorothy (Peter-
son) Brehmeyer.
He graduated from Mary
M. Knight High School in
1968 and was salutatorian of
the class.
Brehmeyer married Cyn’
thia Iversen in Montesano
with the reception at the
Matlock Grange in 1968.
He started working for
S i In p s o n
Timber in
1968 and
was a log-
ger and a
loader op-
erator for
16 years.
When Gis-
dale shut
~ down he
Michael went to
Douglas work for
Brehmeyer v a r i 0 u s
small log-
ging companies and cut tim—
ber, did road construction
and loaded logs. His last job
before he was disabled was
fish enhancement projects
with the state of Washing-
ton.
According to his family,
his hobbies were small farm-
ing, raising and harvesting
hay, beef, horses and hav-
ing the family come over for
summer vacation.
He had a yearly party at
the farm in Matlock and gave
his large family (one of nine
kids) a chance to be together,
a tradition that he wanted to
keep going after he was gone.
His family states the next
party will be July 9, 2011.
He is survived by his wife
Cyndy Brehmeyer; sons Wil—
liam (Debbie) of Onalaska,
David (Michelle) of King'man
Ariz., James (Maria) Breh-
meyer of Bonnie Lake, and
Jackie Brehmeyer and Mike
Haupert of Olympia; sisters:
Phylis Lyman, Dot (Walter)
Breckenridge, Mae (Paul)
Johnston; brother Brian (Su-
zanne) Brehmeyer; grand-
children: Arien Hames, Ash-
ley Bathis, Brenda and Eric
Brehmeyer; lots of nieces and
nephews all over the North-
west.
Memorial will be at the
Matlock Grange on Saturday
Oct. 9, 2010 at 11 am. The
family requests, stories and
pictures. Rick Breckenridge
will perform the service.
