Jesse Weston Wu H] Jesse W. Weston Jesse Wayne Weston, 17, a se— nior at Shelton High School, died Friday, October 31, in an automo- bile accident in the Skokomish Valley. He was born November 23, 1979 in Shelton to Mark L. and Cheryl (Oakes) Weston, and had lived in Shelton all his life. Jesse was employed part time at the Bayshore Golf Course, where he worked in the pro shop. In high school he had been active with the journalism staff writing for the school newspaper, worked on the yearbook and was part of a new organization at the school that was producing a literary magazine. He was also part of the debate team at the high school. Jesse’s main interests centered around writing and music. He was a drummer in a neighbor- hood band that played at some lo- cal engagements. His survivors include his par- ents, Mark L. and Cheryl A. Weston of Shelton; a brother, Kel- ly M. Weston of Shelton; matern- al grandmother Bonnie Oakes of Shelton; maternal uncle and aunt Jim and Carol Oakes of We natchee; and paternal uncle and aunt Mark and Leslie Jensen of Shelton. A funeral service was held Tuesday, November 4, at the Shelton United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial followed at Shelton Memorial Park.
